Use Feedback Level to Start iQpump Controller
◆ P1-04, P1-05
Table 4.12
The iQpump drive has a built-in function that allows the system to start regulating when the feedback signal drops below a programmed
start level (P1-04) for a programmed start level delay time (P1-05).
In many constant pressure applications, it is necessary to start the pump at different feedback levels along with a timer to ensure that the
pump does not cycle on and off, if the pressure is floating too close to the start level. Due to system losses and leaks in pipes, the pressure
will slowly decrease and it is desirable for the iQpump drive system to sense this changing level and automatically restart the automatic
regulation back to desired setpoint.
Example: Constant Pressure System
System Units set to PSI (P1-02 = PSI)
System Setpoint set for 80 PSI
Pressure Transducer: 150 PSI
Desired Operation:
Pump System should start regulating when pressure drops below 70 PSI.
Solution:
Program P1-04 to 70 PSI and P1-05 to 2 sec.

Note: In order for the system to start regulating, the Run command has to be present. (See 4.3 Pump System Start/Stop).

Start Level
Start Level
Drive starts when the feedback level drops below the start level for a
time specified in P1-05. This level also specifies the wake up level
when the drive is in Sleep Mode.
Note: When PID operates in the reverse mode, the feedback value
has to rise above the start level for the time programmed in P1-05 for
the system to start. A value of 0 disables this function.
