4.2 iQpump Drive Start Up Procedures

13. Press the MENU key once to display “Operation.”
14. Press the DATA/ENTER key once to display Auto: Set-Point.
15. The STOP and FWD lights are on.
16. Press the DATA/ENTER key once to enable entering of an Auto Mode Set-Point in U1-01. Use the S and T keys to set a set-
point of 10 PSI.
17. Press the AUTO key once to start the motor and verify correct motor rotation for the application. The RUN light turns on and
the STOP light turns off.
If the direction of motor rotation is wrong, press the OFF key. The RUN light turns off and the STOP light turns on. REMOVE
POWER from the iQpump drive. Wait for the Red CHARGE LED (near the power terminals) to go out. When it does, swap the
motor wires connected to terminals U/T1 & V/T2 in the iQpump drive. Be sure to re-tighten the terminal lugs. APPLY
POWER.
To verify the motor rotation is now correct for the application, press the AUTO key once to start the motor and turn off the
AUTO SEQ and AUTO REF lights. The FWD light turns on and the motor will rotate in the proper direction.
18. Press the MONITOR key to display the U1 monitors. Use the S and T keys to view Output Current (U1-03), Output Voltage
(U1-06), and DC Bus Voltage (U1-07) while running the iQpump drive throughout its entire speed range. Record the following
information at each speed:

When this table is complete, press the OFF key. The iQpump drive will stop and the FWD light remains on. This step provides
benchmark data for the application from the initial start up.
19. Press the MENU key once to display “Operation.” Press the DATA/ENTER key to display “Hand Reference.”
If using a remote speed command, press the AUTO key so the AUTO SEQ and AUTO REF indicators are on. This puts the
iQpump drive in Auto mode.
THIS COMPLETES THE iQpump DRIVE START UP PROCEDURE.
