In Service Pair Detection Test
In Service Pair Detection Test
At the start of the In Service Pair Detection test, the unit will check for the
presence of dangerous voltage and an active circuit. If dangerous voltage is
detected, a dialog box will be displayed to inform you and the test will stop.
If an active circuit is detected, a dialog box will be displayed to ask you
whether or not to proceed with the test.
In Service
The In Service Pair Detection Test
uses the black and green (ground)
leads to quickly check if wire pairs are
in service or available for usage. This
test checks for the following:
³
dangerous voltages
³
high voltages
³
POTS battery (>30 V)
³
digital service signals
³
a bad ground connection
Note: Test beeps or warns at the end of a test ‘cycle’ and to indicate you can
move to another pair. The unit beeps faster, displaying a dialogue box,
when something (battery, earth or digital service) is detected.
