LATER STYLE TRACTOR FRONT PTO REPLACEMENT-
MODELS WITH BALL BEARING PTO DESIGN (SIMILAR
TO THAT SHOWN IN FIGURE 1)
A. Support or suspend front of tractor to remove //eight from
front axle.
B. Disassemble Front PTO from tractor as follows:
1. Remove Idler Spring from left side of frame.
2. Remove Front PTO belts.
3. Remove plastic cap (if installed) from end of PTO
shaft.
4. Remove Snap Ring from front section of PTO shaft.
5. Loosen Setscrews and remove PTO Sheave and
Washers.
6. Loosen Setscrews on Locking Collar.

7. Remove Locking Collar by tapping with a punch
clockwise (if collar was installed and locked in nor­
mal fashion).
8. Remove two 3/8-16 x 1V2 Cap Screws and
Lockwashers and slide Front PTO Housing and Bear­
ing off of shaft.
9. Using a 9/16” wrench remove two Cap Screws and
Locknuts securing Rear Bearing Flange and Lug
(30085) to frame.
10. Slide PTO Shaft and Bearing with Flange and Lock­
ing Collar out of Tube.
11. Using a driver, remove tube from Frame and Axle.
Be sure frame and axle holes are aligned and weight
is off of front axle.
