LATER STYLE TRACTOR FRONT PTO REPLACEMENT-
MODELS WITH BALL BEARING PTO DESIGN (SIMILAR
TO THAT SHOWN IN FIGURE 1)
A. Support or suspend front of tractor to remove weight from
front axle.
B. Disassemble Front PTO from tractor as follows:
1. Remove Idler Spring from left side of frame.
2. Remove Front PTO belts.
3. Remove plastic cap (if installed) from end of PTO
shaft.
6. Loosen Setscrews on Locking Collar.

Remove Snap Ring from front section of PTO shaft.
7. Remove Locking Collar by tapping with a punch
clockwise (if collar was installed and locked in nor­
mal fashion).
8. Remove two 3/8-16 x IVa Cap Screws and
Lockwashers and slide Front PTO Housing and Bear­
ing off of shaft.
9. Using a 9/16” wrench remove two Carriage Bolts
and Locknuts securing Rear Bearing Flange to
frame.
NOTE: FOR MODELS EQUIPPED WITH LUG (30085) REMOVE
THIS LUG ALSO.
Loosen Setscrews and remove PTO Sheave and
Washers.

10. Slide PTO Shaft and Bearing with Flange and Lock­
ing Collar out of Tube.
