cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
2
teaspoons baking powder
V4 cup vegetable shortening
3/4 cup warm water
2 tablespoons oil for frying
Place the flour, salt, and baking powder in the
bowl of a food processor. With the motor running,
add the shortening and process for 30 seconds.
Slowly pour the water down the feed tube just
until the dough forms a ball.
Divide the dough into 10 equal size balls. Cover
with plastic wrap and allow the dough to stand
for at least 20 minutes.

to high.
Press each dough ball quickly 2 or 3 times, until
it forms a 6-inch circle.
Is Pour the oil onto the Griddle and allow to heat
for 30 seconds.
Fry each round for 30 to 40 seconds per side.
Drain on absorbent paper towels and keep crisp
in a 200°F oven until they are all fried. Serve hot.
