Click on the Properties button.

Click the RS-485 tab.

Check the first box to override and lock to RS-485 for the
selected port.
d.
Check this box to toggle the RTS output signal low during data
transmission. If this box is not checked, RTS is toggled high
(asserted) during data transmission.
Note: To use RS-485, you must have an external RS-485 adapter.
For information about external adapters, see the
documentation that came with the external adapter.
If you do not have an external RS-485 adapter, do not use
this option.
