Quick Calibration Operation
This section describes the quick calibration operation of the SR-500 Series using AutoID Naviga-
tor.
Code Specification Check
Configure the settings under the "Code spec" tab when the specifications of the 2D code or bar-
code to be used are undetermined.
If you enter the code type, data type, data size, the size of the space where the code will be
printed, and the printer resolution, AutoID Navigator calculates the specifications of the code that
match those conditions and figures out the code size and the optimum reading distance.
This operation is not necessary if the specifications of the code to be used are already deter-
mined.

(1) Code
Select the type of the code to be read. Upper box: Select the code type.
Lower box: Narrow down the type of the selected code.
(2) Data Size
Set the data type and the number of characters to be used.
(3) Available space
Enter the available space for printing.
(4) Printer resolution
Enter the resolution of the printer.
(5) Calc
Calculates the symbol size, cell size, and the number of dots per cell based
on the entered conditions, as well as the optimum distance when the SR-500
Series is used.
