When the display shows the following message, proceed as follows:

Clearing a paper jam in the paper ejection area:

- PAPER JAM 3 -

Push the lower cover open button, and open the
lower cover completely until it clicks.

Remove the jammed paper by carefully pulling it up.

Close the lower cover carefully by pushing down the

center of the cover until the cover locks into position.

NOTE:

- If the jammed paper is not found in the paper ejection area, check the paper transfer area or

the fuser area (see page 203).
