Explanation of communication result on the report
When trouble occurs, the following messages may be printed on the transmission and journal
reports. See pages 160 and 167.

• An abnormal high or low temperature occurred.
• Transmission or reception error occurred.
• The document was jammed. Remove the document
causing the problem. See page 200.
•The drum unit was completely worn out. Replace the
drum unit. See page 216.
•The document was not received due to memory full.
• Multistation transmission was canceled by pressing the
STOP/CLEAR button.
•The document was not fed into the unit properly.
•The receiving unit was busy or out of recording paper.
• The unit was out of recording paper. Supply paper. See
page 25.
• The passcode communication failed. Check the other
party and set the same passcode as the other unit. See
pages 110 and 125.
• Polling was interrupted during the redialing.
• Fax communication was interrupted because the
STOP/CLEAR button was pressed.
•The recording paper was jammed. Remove the paper
causing the problem. See page 202.
•Transmission was failed because the line was busy or
there was no answer.
•The printer cover was opened. Close the cover.
•The cartridge compartment cover was open. Close the
cover.
•Toner supply was completely consumed. Replace the
toner cartridge. See page 210.
• Transmission was interrupted during the redialing.
