5. Push the Zero button on the front of the TI box.
The Zero indicators will toggle during the zero process. When the Zero
indicators turn off the process is complete for this angle.
6. Remove the inclinometer.
7. Repeat Step 3 through 6 three more times.
Before Step 3 of each iteration, rotate the adapter plate 90°.
Always rotate the adapter in the same direction. (That is, if the first rotation
was clockwise, the succeeding rotations should also be clockwise.)
Note
If the red Fail indicator lights a problem was detected during the zero
process.Use TI2STATUS for a more detailed explanation of the problem.
Try repeating the procedure. Press the Zero button until the TI exits the
zero procedure and all Zero indicators turn off. Then press Zero again to
begin the zero procedure. The Fail indicator will remain lit until you start
a new zero procedure.

After completing Step 17 of the procedure,
., if the TI box power is cycled off and on, it
will be necessary to drive the simulator through its normal range of
motion in order to cause the slip ring to pass the index mark. This
eliminates the need to disconnect the adapter plate and rotate it in order
to relocate the index mark when power is restored.
