Fax Settings - Self-Telephone # Information 1/2
Specify the telephone number, private branch exchange and line type for each port.

Note
The machine’s telephone number may appear in the recipient’s reports. It is recommended that the area
code also be registered so that the number can easily be recognized by the recipient.
Fax Settings - RX Functions
Specify how a fax is received and the number of rings until the call is automatically answered.

Self-Telephone #
Type in the fax number.
Range: Up to 20 digits
Characters that can be entered: Numbers and symbols (+)
Dialing Method
Select "DP20pps", "DP10pps" or "PB" as the dialing method, depending on the telephone line
being used.
PBX Connection
Mode
Select whether to connect to the general subscriber line through a PBX ("Extension"), or
whether to connect directly to the general subscriber line. If "Extension" was selected, type in
the outside line access code.
The fax may not be transmitted or received correctly if a PBX is used. Specify the correct set-
tings when connecting to a general subscriber line through a PBX.

Select whether the fax is to be received automatically or manually.
No. of RX Call Rings
If the fax is to be received automatically, specify the number of rings that are produced until
the fax is automatically received. (Range: 1 to 20 times)
