Deleting host bus adapters from host groups
NOTE:
You cannot perform this operation on host groups for NAS ports.
1.
Start XP LUN Configuration and Security Manager Software. The XP LUN Configuration and
Security Manager Software pane (
) appears.
2.
In the tree, right-click a host bus adapter (
), and select Delete WWN. A confirmation message
appears.
3.
Click Yes.
4.
Click Apply. A confirmation message appears.
5.
Click OK. Settings are applied to the array.
Deleting host bus adapters from iSCSI targets
NOTE:
You cannot perform this operation on host groups for NAS ports.
1.
Start XP LUN Configuration and Security Manager Software. The XP LUN Configuration and
Security Manager Software pane (
) appears.
2.
In the tree, right-click a host bus adapter (
), and select Delete iSCSI Name. A confirmation
message appears.
3.
Click YES.
4.
Click Apply. A confirmation message appears.
5.
Click OK. Settings are applied to the array.
Deleting unneeded WWNs from the WWN name table
If you disconnect a host that was connected via a cable to the array, the host's WWN remains in the
WWN name table on the XP LUN Configuration and Security Manager Software pane.
1.
Start XP LUN Configuration and Security Manager Software. The XP LUN Configuration and
Security Manager Software pane (
) appears.
2.
In the WWN name table, locate WWNs that are not registered in any host group. (If the Host
Group column is blank, the WWN is not registered in any host group.) From these WWNs,
right-click the WWN you want to delete, and select Erase WWN.
3.
Click Apply. A confirmation message appears.
4.
Click OK. Settings are applied to the array.
