P-VOL
A device identifier ending in the pound sign (#) (e.g., 00:00:3C #), indicates that the LDEV
is an external volume.

Note: A device identifier ending in ‘X’ (e.g., 00:00:3C X) indicates that the LDEV is a THP
V-VOL.

The operation’s S-VOL (V-VOL), identified by LDKC:CU:LDEV.
S-VOL
A device ID ending in V (e.g., 00:00:01 V) indicates that the LDEV is a V-VOL.
