Tubular Motor
1. Before sliding the motor into the drive pipe, measure the distance from the end of the motor to the end of the
motor tube. This distance is labeled as R in detail B above.
6. Slide the tubular motor into the slotted end of the drive pipe until the raised key of the motor head sits into the
notch. (see detail A)
7. As shown in detail B, drill several 3/16" (4.8 mm) holes around the circumference of pipe at distance R
(measured in step 1). Install stainless steel pop rivets into the holes to fasten motor tube.

When installing pop
rivets.

Dimensions of
slot in millimeters.
To convert to
inches multiply
mm by 0.0394.
NOTE: At this point of the installation, the drive pipe may be installed onto the guide brackets.
REFER TO SECTION - 'PLACEMENT OF DRIVE PIPE INTO GUIDE BRACKETS' if assembling
on ground. After installing drive pipe, return to Section - 'Attachment of Tubular Motor To
Motor Mount'.
