Use the Security menu (BIOS Menu 16) to set system and user passwords.

Password Description
If ONLY the Administrator’s password is set,
then this only limits access to Setup and is
only asked for when entering Setup
If ONLY the User’s password is set, then this
is a power on password and must be entered to
boot or enter Setup. In Setup the User will
have Administrator rights

Use the Administrator Password field to set or change a administrator password.
ƒ User Password
Use the User Password field to set or change a user password.
ƒ HDD Security Configuration
Select the HDD option to go to a submenu to set or change an HDD user password.
NOTE:
It is recommended that the system be reset after setting a new HDD
password.
