A.1 Safety Precautions
Please follow the safety precautions outlined in the sections that follow:
A.1.1 General Safety Precautions
Please ensure the following safety precautions are adhered to at all times.
ƒ Follow the electrostatic precautions outlined below whenever the system is
opened.
ƒ Make sure the power is turned off and the power cord is disconnected
whenever the system is being installed, moved or modified.
ƒ Do not apply voltage levels that exceed the specified voltage range.
Doing so may cause fire and/or an electrical shock.
ƒ Electric shocks can occur if the system chassis is opened when the system
is running.
ƒ Do not drop or insert any objects into the ventilation openings of the
system.
ƒ If considerable amounts of dust, water, or fluids enter the system, turn
off the power supply immediately, unplug the power cord, and contact the
system vendor.
ƒ Grounding reliability can only be achieved when the equipment is connected
to an equivalent receptacle marked “Hospital Only” or “Hospital Grade”.
ƒ The signal input parts or signal output parts (SIP/SOP) need to be connected
properly and any unused SIP/SOP shall not be accessible to unqualified
personnel after the LCD is integrated into a medical system.
