Triggers and
Actions
In this example, the Global Rules area of the scenario waits for two events, each of which
triggers a different action.
Step 1
Click the New Scenario button in the main library or one of the
device libraries. At the top of the scenario area, enter general
scenario information, including scenario name, description, and
direction of traffic change.
Note: For an example of filling-in the general scenario information fields,
see Figure 41 and Figure 42.
Step 2
As you did in example 2, choose RRDY (Normal) as the first
event to monitor, and substitute with the SAS primitive ERROR
as action.
Step 3
In the Global Rules area, click on the prompt to add the next
event (keep in mind this is not a combined event) (Figure 59).
Note: In this example, there is a parallel set of events, but each event is
associated with its own action. In a combined event, there is a
parallel set of events sharing the same action.
Step 4
The Event Properties dialog box appears. Using the drop-down
menu, choose RRDY (Reserved 0) as the second event to
monitor (Figure 60).
