Example 2:
Wait for
Primitive
and Replace
It with an
Error
In this example, the Global Rules portion of the scenario waits for each RRDY Normal
primitive and replaces it with an ERROR primitive.
Step 1
Click the New Scenario button in the main library or one of the
device libraries. At the top of the scenario area, enter general
scenario information, including scenario name, description, and
direction of traffic change.
Note: For an example of filling-in the general scenario information fields,
see Figure 41 and Figure 42.
Step 2
In the Global Rules area, click on the prompt to add an event
(Figure 49). This brings up the Event dialog box.
Step 3
As you did in steps 1 through 6 of the previous example, choose
RRDY (Normal) as the type of primitive you want to monitor.
Step 4
In the Global Rules area, click on the prompt to add an action
(Figure 50).
Step 5
The Action Properties dialog box appears (Figure 51). In the
Type column on the left, choose Substitute SAS Primitive as
the action you want when an RRDY (Normal) occurs.
Step 6
In the middle column of the dialog box, click on Description if
you want to add a description of the action.
