Examples
The following example displays the command to enable SNMP traps.
Console (config)# snmp-server enable traps
5.20.5 snmp-server trap authentication
The snmp-server trap authentication global configuration command enables the switch to send Simple Network Management
Protocol traps when authentication fails. To disable SNMP authentication failed traps, use the no form of this command.
Syntax
snmp-server trap authentication
no snmp-server trap authentication

The following example displays the command to enable authentication failed SNMP traps.

The snmp-server host global configuration command specifies the recipient of Simple Network Management Protocol
notification operation. To remove the specified host, use the no form of this command.
Syntax
snmp-server host host-addr community-string [1 | 2]
no snmp-server host host-addr
host-address — Internet address of the host (the targeted recipient). An out-of-band IP address can be specified as
described in the User Guidelines.
