The SCSI cable is
defective.

Use another SCSI cable.

The Scanner SCSI ID is
set improperly.

Reset the Scanner SCSI ID so that
it is different from other devices
connected to the computer. To
do so, turn off the computer,
then the Scanner. Reset the
Scanner SCSI ID. Restart and try
again.

The power to the
Scanner is off.

Turn off the computer. Turn on
the Scanner, then the computer
and try again.

The Scanner fuse has
blown.

Determine the cause of the
blown fuse and correct it. Then
replace the fuse as described in
Appendix E.

You have connected the
Scanner to a different
computer (or to the same
computer to which you
recently connected an
additional SCSI device),
resulting in a SCSI ID
conflict.

Reset the Scanner SCSI ID so that
it is different from other devices
connected to the computer. To
do so, turn off the computer then
the Scanner, set the Scanner to a
unique SCSI ID, turn on the
Scanner then the computer, and
try again.

“The Scanner was not
found. Try the following:

 Turn on Scanner Power
 Check all cables
 Check for SCSI ID
conflict

 Check for blown fuse”

The SCSI cable is not
connected properly.

Verify that the SCSI cable is
connected properly between the
computer and the Scanner. If not,
turn both off, reconnect them,
and try again.
