Set Port Flowcontrol Command
Use the
set flowcontrol
command to set the send/receive flow-control value
for a particular Gigabit Ethernet or Fast Ethernet switch port.
This command is supported on 10/100 and Gigabit Ethernet switching modules.
The syntax for this command is:
set port flowcontrol
{receive|send|both}][slot_num|port_num][off|on]
Examples:
These examples show how to use the set port flowcontrol command set:
Console>(enable) set port flowcontrol receive 1/1 on
Console>(enable) set port flowcontrol send 1/1 off
Note: When you disable the flow control setting of 10 Mbps or 100 Mbps ports, the
change will not take effect until the switch is reset or powered off and on again.
receive
Indicate whether the port can receive flow control frames from a
remote device
send
Indicate whether the local port can send flow control frames to a
remote device
slot_num
Module number (always 1)
port_num
Number of the port on the module
off
Used with receive to turn off an attached device's ability to send
flow-control packets to a local port.
Used with send to turn off the local port's ability to send
administrative status to a remote device.
on
Used with receive to require that a local port receives administrative
status from a remote device.
Used with send the local port sends administrative status to a
remote device.
