The Gbit Ethernet LAN Switch Blade (SB9F) 12 x 1 Gbit supports layer 2/3/4
functionality and offers the following connections:

30 internal 1-Gbit downlink ports to the server blades

12 external 1-Gbit uplink ports via RJ45 connectors

The Gbit Ethernet LAN Switch Blade (SB9F) must only be installed in
slots NET1 and NET2, see
figure “Slots for the LAN I/O blades” on

The number of ports that are available in practice depends on the
onboard LAN controllers of the installed server blades.
