Server Blades Fitting rules
7.1 Fitting rules
On the front of the PRIMERGY BX600 S3 basic unit are ten slots for server
blades (numbered 1 - 10 from left to right).

All ten slots are connected to the infrastructure modules on the back of the
BX600 S3 basic unit via the midplane of the BX600 S3 basic unit:
– Ethernet switch blades orpass-thru blades
– Fibre Channel switch blades orpass-thru blades
– Management blades
– KVM blade
– Power supply units
In a PRIMERGY BX600 S3 basic unit different models and configurations of
server blades can be operated alongside each other.

CAUTION!
Server blades connecting a second SCSI channel to the midplane are
not for use in the PRIMERGY BX600 S3 basic unit.
