15.6 Checking Grid Monitoring
Additional material required for tests:
☐ 1 function generator
Procedure:
1. Ensure that the grid monitoring circuit breaker is switched off.
2. Open the measurement and disconnect terminals.
3. Connect the function generator to the measurement and disconnect terminals (see function generator manual).
4. Check the thresholds set for the grid monitoring parameters:
• Use the function generator to create a simulated grid voltage for the Sunny Central. Always observe the nominal
AC voltage of the Sunny Central:
• Record the configured thresholds for the grid monitoring parameters in the commissioning report.
5. Disconnect the function generator from the measurement and disconnect terminals.
15.7 Important Measures in Case of Non-Utilized Options
Unused Remote Shutdown
• If the remote shutdown is not used, set the parameter ExtStrStpEna to Off during commissioning
(see operating manual).
Unused Transformer Protection
• If the transformer protection option is not used, set the parameter ExtTrfErrEna to Off during commissioning
(see operating manual).
Parameters for grid monitoring
The Sunny Central is supplied with the grid monitoring parameters set according to the requirements in the
respective country.
The grid operator may request settings of the grid monitoring parameters which differ from these default settings.
Grid monitoring parameters can be adjusted via the user interface. Details of how to adjust the grid monitoring
parameters can be found in the Sunny Central operating manual.
