Procedure:
1. Insert the optical fibers in the interface cabinet of the Sunny Central.
2. Fit the subscriber connectors to the optical fibers.
3. Plug the subscriber connectors into the SC-P plugs in the splice box.
Connecting the Optical Fibers via Optical Fiber Pigtail
Optical fiber pigtail requirements:
☐ The cable must be equipped with a 50 μm multi-mode optical fiber.
☐ The optical fiber pigtail cable must be fitted with a subscriber connector.
Additionally required mounting material (not included in the scope of delivery):
☐ Two optical fiber pigtails according to specifications
Requirement:
☐ The Sunny Central must be disconnected (see Section 14 "Disconnecting the Sunny Central", page 69).
Procedure:
1. Insert the optical fibers in the interface cabinet of the Sunny Central.
2. Splice each optical fiber in the splice box with an optical fiber pigtail.
3. Plug the subscriber connectors into the SC-P plugs in the splice box.
4. Attach the optical fibers to the cable support rail using a cable tie. This ensures that the optical fibers cannot be pulled
out inadvertently.
5. If you do not wish to continue installation work or commission the Sunny Central immediately, close the
Sunny Central (see Section 15.10 "Switching On the Sunny Central", page 78).
13.2.3 Setting up a System Network with Copper Cables
The Sunny Central can be integrated into the system network using a copper cable.
Requirements for the network cable:
☐ The cables must be shielded and pair-twisted.
☐ The cables must be of at least category 5 (CAT 5).
☐ Cable length: maximum 100 m
Requirement:
☐ The Sunny Central must be disconnected (see Section 14 "Disconnecting the Sunny Central", page 69).
Procedure:
1. Insert the network cable in the interface cabinet (see Section 12.2 "Leading the Cables into the Interface Cabinet",
2. Plug the network cable into the network port of the surge arrester in the interface cabinet.
3. Attach the network cable to the cable support rail using a cable tie. This ensures that the network cable cannot be
pulled out inadvertently.
4. If you do not wish to continue installation work or commission the Sunny Central immediately, close the
Sunny Central (see Section 15.10 "Switching On the Sunny Central", page 78).
