Auxiliary Connector Pinout (J5)
The auxiliary connector is either a 9-Pin D female connector or a modular telephone jack
connector with 6 pins.
• Single ended signals, such as the faults MF and DF, are open collector where:
Voh=12V max. and Vol=0.5V max. @ Iol=8 ma.
A pull-up resistor external to the equipment is required. A fault is indicated in the
modulator or demodulator when the open collector is OFF. An ON collector indicates an
OK status.
• Ext Clk is an LVDS input.
• Carrier Detect is a TTL output. TX IF ON / OFF is a single ended TTL input.
• Table 13-5 is the pin-out for a 9-Pin D female connector.
