Chapter 13. ASI/LVDS
INTERFACE
This section describes the plug-in ASI/LVDS Data Interface used with the SDM-2020
Demodulator.
13.1 ASI/LVDS Data Interface (PL/8160)
IMPORTANT
This module plugs in to either the SDM-2020 Modulator or
Demodulator.
The ASI/LVDS data interface provides two successful DVB standard interfaces. The ASI
and the LVDS data interface. The ASI data interface has the TX and RX inputs available.
The LVDS data interface has either the TX enabled or the RX function enabled via a
jumper selection. The other capability of this interface is to loop from ASI input to both
the ASI output and the LVDS output when the ASI input is active. When the LVDS input
is active it is possible to loop from the LVDS input to the ASI output only.
