Definitions
Option 1 Define characters that
are always printed.
Syntax R,1,"fixed characters" p
a. Defining fixed
characters for
entire field
•
Use constant text
overlays instead.
•
Enclose the
character string in double quotes.
b. Defining fixed characters for part of the
field
•
Place underscores (_) in non-fixed positions.
•
Non-fixed positions can be filled by batch or
copied data (Option 4).
•
Enclose the character string in quotation
marks.
NOTE: If the batch does not supply any
data, the printer removes underscore
characters and compresses all fixed
data in the field.
Example R,1,"Made in USA" p
This example defines the fixed phrase "Made in
USA" to print in all batches.
