1. To configure test addresses, on the Network Performance screen, type 2 and press
Enter. The Addresses screen (Figure 4-21) opens.
2. To add an address, type A and press Enter. The Address Setup screen (Figure 4-22)
opens.
3. Type the IP Address of the remote NID upon which tests will be performed and press
Enter. A valid IP Address in the form of xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx must be entered. Follow the
prompts and add the appropriate information.
•
VLAN Type C-Tag, S-Tag, or T-Tag.
•
VLAN ID (0-4095) identifies the VLAN. Test packets sent to this address are tagged
with this VLAN ID if not 0 or are untagged if 0.
•
Mgmt IP Address is required for managing and conducting performance testing.
•
Mgmt VLAN ID is an integer value (0-4095) that identifies the management VLAN.
•
Profile Name is a free-format field identifies a Profile. An address must have an
assigned Profile in order to be enabled. If a Profile is deleted, this field will be set to a
null or blank value by the NID.
•
Description is a 30-characters free-format field that can be used for any purpose to
help identify the address.

PM State is either Enabled of Disabled. If the address and profile associated with the
address are enabled, the address will be tested by the PM Scheduler if it is enabled. If
