13.7 User to Network Egress Shapers
The are four shapers in the system. The shapers cannot be deleted and created, but they can be
disabled or enabled. An unassigned shaper is always disabled (that is, a shaper without a
profile). Each queue, identified by a pair, can be assigned (or unassigned) to
one shaper.
13.7.1 Viewing the Shapers List
1. On the Bandwidth Profile Enforcement screen (Figure 13-3), type 3 and press Enter. The
Egress Shapers List screen (Figure 13-10) opens. There are 19 shapers.

13.7.2 Modifying a Shaper
1. On the Egress Shapers List screen (Figure 13-10), type the number of the shaper you
wish to modify and press Enter. The Egress Shaper Configuration screen (Figure 13-11)
opens.
2. To change the bandwidth profile, type 1 and press Enter Press the Space bar to select a
Shaper Profile or None, and press Enter.
3. To enable or disable the shaper, type 2 and press Enter. Press the Space bar to select
Enabled or Disabled, and press Enter.
4. To assign a queue to a shaper, type 3 and press Enter. A specific queue can be assigned
to one shaper only. Type 1-4 to toggle the queue.
5. Type the number of the queue from which the shaper will be deleted and press Enter.
6. After toggling queues, press Esc and then A to accept your changes, or press Esc again
to cancel.
7. Press Esc to return to the Egress Shapers List screen.
