errors and no other tests are in progress, the software will initiate the Throughput Test
and display the test results once the test is done.

4.8 SOAM Based Diagnostics
NOTE: This feature requires an SOAM license. See the section “License Manager” on page 165
The SOAM based diagnostics feature is available if the SOAM licence is enabled.
The following screens are used to initiate SOAM based diagnostics. A maintenance end point
without defects must exist in the system before you can use these procedures. This applies to
both 802.1AG and Y.1731 MEPs.
On the Diagnostics screen (Figure 4-1), type 8 and press Enter. The SOAM Based Diagnostics
screen (Figure 4-52) opens.

To configure a delay measurement request, type 3 and press Enter. The Delay Measurement
Request screen opens (Figure 4-53).
