The Service Provider must set up a SAT Profile to begin. The Service Provider can set up the
following service attributes and parameters to be tested within a SAT Profile:
•
UNI and EVC MTU size validation
•
CE-VLAN ID Preservation validation
•
CE-VLAN CoS Preservation validation
•
CoS to PCP mapping validation
•
Unicast/Multicast/Broadcast service frame delivery validation
•
L2CP handling verification
•
CIR testing
•
Policing test
•
CBS testing
9145E Service Activation screens allow you to configure and run Service Activation Tests.
On the Main Diagnostics screen (Figure 4-1), type 9 and press Enter. The Service Activation
screen (Figure 4-58) opens
NOTE: This feature requires a Service Activation license. See the section “License Manager”
on page 165.
4.9.1 Configuring Service Activation
1. To configure Service Activation, type 1 and press Enter. The SA System Configuration
screen (Figure 4-59) opens.

Two-Way
SAT Traffic
This type of traffic is generated by the local NID and reflected by the remote
NID back to the local NID. This is necessary for FD and IFDV measurements of
a SAT.
