DigiLinX Devices
The DigiLinX system consists of several types of StreamNet devices. The following
sections discuss these devices in more detail.
SpeakerLinX
™
SL220/SL250/SL254/SL9250-CS
SpeakerLinX is shown in Figure 2-1. It functions as the zone or room controller and
amplifier and has a built-in web server for the user interface.
NOTE:
For each zone of audio at least one SpeakerLinX is required.
Each zone of audio must have at least one SpeakerLinX. SpeakerLinX includes:
a digital amplifier:
2 channels at 20 watts per channel (for the SL220)
2 channels at 50 watts per channel (for the SL250 and SL9250-CS). The SL9250-
CS is designed for the commercial market and features balanced audio outputs.
4 channels at 25 watts per channel (used primarily for StreamNet Ready speakers
(for the SL254)
Ethernet input
line level input/output (with adapter).

MediaLinX
™
MLA101/ MLA9101-CS/ MLA4000
The MediaLinX line of source converters (Figure 2-2) are IP-Based units designed to
convert analog, or digital signals in real time from a legacy source into TCP/IP packet-
switched, uncompressed (WAV) audio streams. Legacy sources can include a DVD/
CD player, AM/FM/satellite tuner, or cassette player. After conversion, analog and
