Configure Target Communications
The Target tab displays the offline configuration from the perspective of the device that is
running the application and comprises the topology that is loaded into the PanelView Plus
terminal. In this example application, the PanelView Plus terminal communicates to the same
CompactLogix L32E controller via Ethernet.
Follow these steps to configure target communications.
1. Click the Design (Local) tab in the
Communication Setup window.
2. Click Copy from Design to Runtime.
This RSLinx Enterprise message
window opens.
3. Click Yes.
4. Click the Runtime (Target) tab and
expand the RSLinx Enterprise tree.
5. Verify that your controller and
shortcut name are both highlighted.
This indicates that communication is
established.
In this example, 1769-L32E is the
controller and CLX is the shortcut.
6. Click OK.
