UPC-E Bar Code
Description:
The ^B9 command is a variation of the UPC symbology used for number system 0. It is a shortened
version of the UPC-A bar code in which zeros are suppressed, resulting in codes that require less
printing space.
Each character in a UPC-E bar code is composed of four elements: two bars and two spaces. The
^BY command must be used to specify the width of the narrow bar.

lement size is 1 : 1, 2 : 2, 3 : 3, 4 : 4, 6 : 6, and 8 : 8.
・Field data(^FD)is limited to exactly 6 characters.
・The first digit numbering system character is "0" fixed so it is not transmitted.
・When the six characters is sent from computer, th
e printer automatically calculates the checksum
at the end of digit

When the seven characters is sent from the computer, the printer compares the characters with
the calculated checksum. If they do not agree, the printer prints all bar codes 0 (zero). And it is
not printed when the input characters is smaller than 6 characters.

If supplementary code is to be added, refer to item of bar code ^BS.

o = orientation
Accepted Values:
N = normal
R = rotated 90 degrees(clockwise)
I = inverted 180 degrees
B = read from bottom up,270 degrees
Default Value: Current ^FW value
h = bar code height(in dots)
Accepted Values: 1 to 7999(200dpi) / 1 to 11998(300dpi)
Default Value: Value set by ^BY
f = print interpretation line
Accepted Values: Y(yes) N(no)
Default Value: Y
