Manual reception (Telephone only mode)
This mode should be set when an external telephone is connected and many
telephone calls are received.
This mode operates when the [Receive Mode] is set to [Manual RX] in the
[Line Parameter Setting] of the Utility mode.
Refer to “Specifying transmission/ receiving mode (Line Parameter Settings)”
on page 10-58 regarding reception mode settings.
The following procedure describes operations for manual reception.
Manual reception

When the external telephone line rings, touch [Off-Hook] on the Fax/
Scan screen.

Confirm that [RX] has been selected.

Touch the [Execute] button on the Off-Hook screen.

When [Start] key is pressed, reception starts after touching [Yes]
and then touching [OK] on the “Off-Hook start” confirmation
screen.

Detail
When an original is loaded in the ADF or original glass, [RX] is not high-
lighted even if a fax is received.
In this case, touch [RX] to highlight the button.

Note
If “Confirm Address (TX)” in Utility mode is set to “ON”, [Off-Hook] does
not appear.
