Modifying Traps

To modify the SNMP version, IP address, or community name of a trap, do
the following procedure:

1. From the main menu on the left side of the page, select the SNMP

folder.

The SNMP folder expands.

2. From the SNMP folder, select Trap Setting.

The Trap Setting Page is shown in Figure 34 on page 111.

3. Within the Trap Setting table, select a pull-down menu in the Version

column to the change the SNMP version of a trap that you want to
modify.

Select the SNMP version of the trap by selecting V1 for SNMP version
1 or V2c for SNMP version 2vc.

4. Change an IP address by typing in the new IP address for a particular

community within the Trap Setting table.

Use the IP address format: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

5. Change the Community Name by replacing the old name with the new

one.

6. To activate your changes on the switch click Apply.

The Trap Setting Page is updated.

7. From the main menu on the left side of the page, select Save

Configuration to Flash to permanently save your changes.
