Note:
The options selected in steps 4, 5, and 6 always overwrite any existing values for
the selected event types.
7. Click OK to activate the changes and return to the Notification Events page.
Clearing Notification Settings
You can clear the notification settings for any number of event types. As a user
assigned the Administrator privilege level, clearing the notification settings for an
event type terminates the following activities or options for those events.
■
Sending standard e-mail or e-mail pager messages to designated users.
■
Forwarding SNMP trap messages to designated hosts.
■
Restricting repeat or duplicate notifications if selected—deselects the option.
■
Logging of this event type to the Application Log if selected—deselects the
option.
■
Logging of this event type in the CA format to the Application Log if
selected—deselects the option.
As a user with Operator privileges, clearing notification settings only removes
your name from those receiving e-mail (standard or pager) notification. Existing
settings for trap forwarding and logging are unaffected.
Use task features on the Notification Events page (
) to clear notification
settings. Use the following procedure to clear settings for one or more event types
on the table page currently displayed.
1. Select the event types you want to clear by toggling a check mark into the
checkbox beside each Sub-Type entry.
2. Click Clear to display the Clear Confirmation page (
