6. Enter any number of IP address ranges to be searched or examined. The IP

addresses entered in the From: and To: fields must have the same class C

format. Having the same Class C format means the first three numbers in

these two IP addresses must be identical. For example, 18.21.204.11 to

18.21.204.155 is a valid range, but 18.21.204.11 to 18.21.205.155 is invalid.

To complete a discovery over the latter range create the following two ranges:
— 18.21.204.11 to 18.21.204.255
— 18.21.205.0 to 18.21.205.155
If necessary, a range can consist of only one address entered in the From:

field. You must enter at least one include range before the Next button

becomes available allowing you to display the next wizard page.
For each range you must specify one or more community strings. When you

enter more than one community string, the system uses them in the order

entered here. To optimize performance, enter the most commonly used

community string first and the most rarely used string last.

Note:

When entering multiple community strings use only a comma to separate the

values—do not introduce unintended spaces.
