Migrating Event Notification Settings

You may want to set up user accounts on the Management Appliance before
migrating existing notifications. This makes it easier to send the previous
notifications to accounts you have created on the Management Appliance. See
“ Working with Users ,” on page 23 for information on setting up users.
Use this procedure to migrate notification settings to a target user account.
1. If necessary display the Event Notification Migration wizard second page
( Figure 76 ). See “ Using the Migration Wizard ,” on page 102.

2. Select Send event notifications to an existing user account on this
Storage Management Appliance and click Next to display a wizard third
page containing a list of default user accounts and any additional accounts
you have created ( Figure 77 ).

3. Select the target user who is to receive the migrated user’s notifications, and
click Next to display a wizard fourth page showing the devices and
applications previously configured to send event notifications to the migrated
user. Figure 78 is an example of this page showing two previous
notifications—one for Secure Path and one for Automation Manager.
