USB/RS-232C Remote Control Software
Terminal
application
(USB/RS-232C) Invoke the terminal application such as hyper
terminal program. For RS-232C, set the COM port,
baud rate, stop bit, data bit, and parity
accordingly.
To check the COM port No, see the Device
Manager in the PC. For WinXP, Control panel →
System → Hardware tab.
Functionality
check Run this query command via the terminal.
*idn? (use line feed character as the message
terminator)
This should return the Manufacturer, Model
number, Serial number, and Firmware version in
the following format.
GW, GDS-3354, EK200001, V1.08
PC Software
(USB only) The proprietary PC software FreeWave is
downloadable from the GWInstek website for
remote control.
