1. Determine the current boot image version using the show flash command

4. Generate a new license, if required from Software License page on Brocade.com. If you are
upgrading to a different type of image that uses a different license from the one which is already
on the device, generate a separate license file. For more information on license, see the FastIron
Ethernet Switch Administration Guide .
5. Download the required software images from the Downloads page in MyBrocade web site. For the
exact list of software image files available for FastIron Release 08.0.xx, see the release notes.
