• precedence-value - 3-bit precedence value. (Range: 0-7)
• cos-value - Class-of-Service value (Range: 0-7)

Command Usage
• The precedence for priority mapping is IP Port, IP Precedence or IP
DSCP,and default switchport priority.
• IP Precedence values are mapped to default Class of Service values on a
one-to-one basis according to recommendations in the IEEE 802.1p
standard,and then subsequently mapped to the eight hardware priority queues.
• This command sets the IP Precedence for all interfaces.
Example
The following example shows how to map IP precedence value 1 to CoS value 0:
map ip dscp (Global Configuration)
This command enables IP DSCP mapping (i.e., Differentiated Services Code
Point mapping). Use the no form to disable IP DSCP mapping.

Command Usage
• The precedence for priority mapping is IP Port, IP Precedence or IP
DSCP,and default switchport priority.
• IP Precedence and IP DSCP cannot both be enabled. Enabling one of these
priority types will automatically disable the other type.
Example
The following example shows how to enable IP DSCP mapping globally:
map ip dscp (Interface Configuration)
