The Select Clips From (or to) Nowline function allows you to select all the
timeline elements:
•
from the nowline to the last timeline element. The first element that is selected
is the one on which the nowline is positioned.
•
from the first timeline element to the nowline. The last element that is selected
is the one on which the nowline is positioned.

The Add Edit at the Nowline function cuts the timeline element at the nowline
position. This cut is applied only to the tracks selected in the timeline track
selection.

The Extend function makes it possible to extend or shorten a timeline element.
You will find detailed information on this feature in section 4.8 ‘Extending Timeline
Elements’, on page 109.
The Extend button is enabled when a mark IN or mark OUT is defined on the
loaded timeline. When the function is applied, IPEdit only takes into account the
tracks selected in the timeline track selection.

The Extend Slow/Fast function makes it possible to extend or shorten a timeline
element without adding new material. This action will stretch the existing material
of the element to fit in the new length. The playout speed of the whole element will
be adapted accordingly. You will find detailed information on this feature in
section 4.8 ‘Extending Timeline Elements’, on page 109.
The Extend Slow/Fast button is enabled when a mark IN or mark OUT is defined
