You can leave the trim mode with the mouse, the keyboard shortcut, or the
ShuttlePRO.
With the Mouse
To leave the trim mode with the mouse, click anywhere in the Lasso Selection area
above or below the timeline display.
With the Keyboard
To leave the trim mode with the keyboard, press
.
With the ShuttlePRO
To leave the trim mode with the ShuttlePRO, press the Trim key
.

Note
The Trim Left and Right (or trim actions in roll mode) are NOT possible
on elements whose playout speed has been modified.
The Trim Left action or Trim Right action is possible on such elements.

In the trim left and right action, the transition is moved to the right or to the left.
Both elements around the transition are modified:
•
When the transition is rolled to the right:
The 1st element is extended, i.e. its OUT point is shifted to the right.
The 2nd element is trimmed, i.e. its IN point is shifted to the right.
•
When the transition is rolled to the left:
The 1st element is trimmed, i.e. its OUT point is shifted to the left.
The 2nd element is extended, i.e. its IN point is shifted to the left.
The Insert/Overwrite mode does not influence trim left and right.
