When the Playlist Panel is open, a player channel can be selected
•
by dragging a channel from the Channel Explorer onto the Playlist Panel (in the
Channel Media and Transport Functions pane), or
•
by right-clicking the Channel Name field as described below:
1.
Right-click the Channel Name field.
This opens a contextual menu showing the EVS server channels that are
available to the IPDirector workstation.
2.
Select a player channel.
This channel will be allocated to the playlist if certain conditions are met to
enable the allocation, as mentioned in section 1.3.3 ‘Limitations to Channel
Assignment’ on page 24.

SSIGNMENT
For a channel to be available it cannot be:
•
already associated to another playlist. If it has already been allocated an error
message appears.
•
controlled by another device. If there is a shared control between IPDirector and
another device, it is possible to regain control from the contextual menu by
selecting the 2nd controller item in the menu. If the item is checked, it means
the control has been given to the 2nd controller device. If it is unchecked, it
means the IPDirector has the control of the channel. This item is only available
for selection in the menu when the channel is configured in ‘Exclusive’ mode;
otherwise it is dimmed and unavailable.
