Configuring for External Timing Example
To configure network timing,
1. Press F3 to select Cnfig from the top-level menu
screen.

2. Select the configuration option set to be copied
into the Edit area by using the appropriate
function key. Use the scroll keys, if necessary.

3. Press F1 to select Edit.

4. From the Edit screen, press the
key twice to
bring the Gen selection onto the screen.

configuration options.

6. The Generate Yellow Alarm configuration option
displays first. Press F1 (next) once to display the
DSU/CSU Clock Source configuration option.

7. Select the master clock source. For external, press

key three times to scroll the Ext selection
onto the screen.

pressing the corresponding Function key. This step
is mandatory if you have chosen external clocking.
