3.5 Basic Device Configuration

For the basic setup described in this section, the Java-based Web UI will be used to configure the
AP-5131. Use the AP-5131’s LAN interface for establishing a link with the AP-5131. Configure the AP-
5131 as a DHCP client. For optimal screen resolution, set your screen resolution to 1024 x 768 pixels
or greater.

as the default user ID and

as the default password. Use your

new password if it has been updated from default.

If the default login is successful, the

Change Admin Password

window displays. Change

the password.

NOTE

For optimum compatibility, use Sun Microsystems’ JRE 1.5 or higher
(available from Sun’s Website), and be sure to disable Microsoft’s Java
Virtual Machine if installed.
