7. Indicate if you want to use tape duplication.
Tape duplication allows you to make up to five duplicate copies of a physical tape
whenever virtual tape data is exported to physical tape. You must have at least two
identical physical libraries (same model, same number of drives, same tapes with the
same barcodes). When data is exported, separate export jobs will be created for each
physical library and each job will have a unique job ID.
The duplication job will look for a tape with a matching barcode in another library.
If one is found, the data is duplicated to that physical library. If a matching tape is
not found, but there are additional identical physical libraries, the system will look
for a match there.
Note –
You should not have duplicate physical tape barcodes in your system unless
you are using tape duplication.
If this library is using Automated Tape Caching or if you selected the Move option
for Auto Archive on the previous dialog, the virtual tape data will not be deleted
until the duplication job finishes successfully.
